Finally, I. enjoying the seemingly endless appetite of the world for nostalgia for the good old days. 25 years later Themed hospital was released four years later Two hospital pointshim
redo The spiritual successor has debuted, we get a real sequel.
Campus of two points returns players to the world of Tu Point County, this time he is tasked with building a network of new universities on sites adjacent to previously non-operating hospitals that you have completed renovations.
I recently played through an early build of the first two levels of the game. Freshleigh Meadows is a shortened training phase, while Piazza Lanatra, inspired by Rome, is the second zone that players can count on. Since the release date has been postponed to August 9, I feel that the title is not yet as polished as the developers might have hoped. This is, at least in part, due to the fact that most of it was set up remotely and employees were locked up at home.
I just recently (re) completed Two hospital points and found that I can go through these early levels only on instinct. At first glance you can feel it Campus a little too similar to its predecessor to be considered a stand-alone sequel. From the previous name much has been adopted wholesale, albeit with some graphic polishing. The team clearly felt that if it didn’t break, then there’s no point in trying to fix it, at least as far as I’ve played so far.
The most notable difference is that Two Point wanted to address the most common player complaints Hospital – that they did not like puzzles with models. In both Themed hospital and Two hospital points, you are given intentionally problematic floor plans on which you can build your facility. This is part of the basic mechanics that makes you optimize your layouts both for fast patient travel and for the best use of allowed space. This weird building, too small for an X-ray room? Your mission is to try to fill it somethingit is point.
З Campus of two points, this is no longer the case, as you can now pay money to change the boundaries of your building and even relocate porches. You can claim or return the land back to your garden depending on your needs at each level. The meaning of the strange layouts of the buildings, which wasted acres of potentially useful space, was part of the playful sadism in the game. I would complain more about those damn kids who need to make things easier, but I come to that.
And you are more concerned not with efficiency but with aesthetics. Outdoor spaces can be filled with trees, walkways, flora and concessions, among others. Your responsibility is not only to educate people, but also to ensure that your students learn in a pleasant environment.
Financial management is less of a key factor in Campusbecause success now depends on how well your students are doing. This means keeping track of unfavorable students you will need to send to private tuition, or expelling those who are not to zero. You will also need to set up activities to get people to meet each other, both socially and romantically. You can buy romantic trinkets for campus, such as seats for love, to encourage meeting on the clock. I don’t know if I’m a fan; it seems to be the wrong subject for an easy business simulation.
Universities are also much less a gold mine for humorous jokes compared to an animated hospital. Sure, there are still jokes on the menu and funny radio comments, but there are just fewer things to laugh about on campus. The most amazing thing I’ve seen are trainee chefs preparing a hamburger the size of an SUV on a slightly larger pan. This is far from unscrewing a light bulb that sticks out of someone’s neck when he suffers from “slowness”.
Campus‘The sense of scale has also changed quite a bit, and Hospital players may think that large rooms are more difficult. While you can build a working clinic with 3×3 rooms, the default zone is in Campus closer to 5×5. In each room you can also squeeze a lot more things with a more maximal sense of design compared to the last game. I suspect it’s because of them Hospital players min max their hospital suites with impractical items.
Fortunately, you can now build bathrooms on a 2×1 plot, so any vacant room in the lobbies across campus can be used.
Even as a loud and proud fan, I am mature enough to admit that the titles lose their greeting after a while. Hospitalalthough brilliant, in fact, asked you to play the same set of game cycles in 15 levels. Yes, the scale increased, as did the obstacles, but by the time I reached the final level, the hardest task was to keep my interest.
Two Point seems to be aware of this, carefully ensuring that you can’t punch his new game with the same quick ruthlessness. This is partly due to the three-year cycle that the game uses to graduate your entrants. Another is more focused on actively managing its campus, in addition to squeezing every penny out of its walls.
At the beginning of the work in Lantaro Square I ran out of money, which often meant restarting the level in Hospital. But here you can just wait, burning a year of training for some children to make up for losses without having to take out a loan. (Two Point could never and never escape the satirical point that there is nothing more important than guarding profits in any privatized industry you run.)
If deep down I want the developers to devote more time, it’s a frustrating game intangible assets. For example, there are many cases where you need to improve your hygiene rating and plaster each wall with hand sanitizer stations and trash cans. But because too many employees are “unhygienic,” you’ll never get there until you start firing people.
This is one of the problems in the game, which is often reliably solved by visiting the Reddit chain, because the casual player often can not find solutions. I would also like the user interface to be less fussy when it comes to duplicating rooms with duplicate items on the walls. For example, manually removing interior windows seems to be harder this time than y Hospital. (And again: why can’t I put a disinfectant dispenser over the trash can, since they don’t take up the same space?)
But none of these problems, no matter how annoying, will stop me from wanting to grab Campus on the day of its launch. I went down for eight hours to these early levels, suffering from COVID-19 because it is as addictive as its predecessor. I feel like there will come a normal period of my life when every minute of waking up will swallow that I do nothing more. So far Campus of two points it is very much the same game as its predecessor, it is still very welcome.
Campus of two points will debut on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch on August 9, 2022.
