Russians burned the bodies of swastika victims: report

The Russian military raped 10-year-old girls and tore out the tongues of Ukrainians, as well as burning swastikas into the bodies of their victims, Ukrainian officials said on Tuesday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the United Nations Security Council that the Russians had committed “the most heinous war crimes” since World War II, and accused the invaders of unleashing terror against Ukrainians “just for their own pleasure.”

“They killed whole families – adults and children – and tried to burn the bodies,” Zelensky said in a video Tuesday. “I appeal to you on behalf of the people who honor the memory of the dead every day.”

He described how Russian troops targeted civilians in their cars and on the streets, as well as in their own homes.

“Some of them were shot in the streets, others were thrown into wells, and they died there in agony. They were killed in their apartments, their houses. Civilians were pressed by tanks while sitting in cars in the middle of the road, just for fun, ”he said.

He also said that militants raped and killed Ukrainian women in front of their families.

“They cut off limbs, cut throats … They tore out their tongues only because the aggressor did not hear what they wanted to hear from them,” he said.

“This is no different from other terrorists, such as the ISIS,” Zelensky said, using the alternative name ISIS. “This is what a member of the UN Security Council is doing.”

Zelensky ended his address with a graphic video compilation showing the bodies of Ukrainian civilians in Irpen and Bucha on the outskirts of Kiev, in Dymerka near Chernihiv and in the port city of Mariupol.

Alarming footage shows that some bodies were buried in mass graves, while others were simply scattered on the street or apparently fell from bicycles nearby. Some had obvious wounds, others were burned or dismembered.

“Speaking in our national capacity, we are shocked by what we have seen and reiterate our solidarity with Ukraine,” said Barbara Woodward, Britain’s ambassador to the United Nations and president of the Security Council.

Zelensky’s appeal came amid reports of new atrocities during the Russian retreat from northern Ukraine, including reports that Russian soldiers raped girls as young as 10 and burned swastikas on the bodies of their victims.

“Russian soldiers rob, rape and kill” Lesya Vasilenko insistedUkrainian MP, who is among those who accuse Russia of genocide.

“The children were found with their hands tied and shot. [Russian] the soldiers killed them because they could! ” wrote a Kiev politician on Twitter amid reports of hundreds killed in the suburbs of the capital.

Vasilienko said that “vaginal and rectal tears” were found in “10-year-old girls” after the rape, and in dead women “with burns in the form of a swastika.”

According to several sources, the children were raped, tied up with zippers and then killed.

The official shared an image one such Nazi symbol carved into the flesh, insisting that it was found on the “tortured body of a raped and murdered woman”.

“I have lost the gift of speech. My mind is paralyzed by anger, fear and hatred,” she said. “Russian men did it. And Russian mothers raised them. A nation of immoral criminals,” she wrote.

“Good” Russians burn passports and no longer want to be called Russian. The rest are Putin’s accomplices. And he is guilty of genocide of the Ukrainian nation. ” she wrote.

Among the dead – another mayor of the suburbs of Kiev, this time in Gostomel – where the body was left in public and planted with explosives, the London Times told a local archpriest.

Archpriest Piotr Pavlenko said that he rushed after the body of his friend Iria Pzylyka when a Russian soldier warned him: “Do not touch the body, otherwise it will explode and explode with it.”

Another MP, Alexander Yurchenko, also told the British newspaper that “women were raped, children were shot, people’s bodies were beaten.”

“We continue to find bodies,” – said the deputy, calling it “like in a horror movie.”

In nearby Bucha, where alarming images of bodies appeared on the street over the weekend, a local priest told the Telegraph that they had no choice but to use mass graves where bodies remained in black garbage bags.

“We brought people here from the street because the dogs were trying to eat the bodies,” Father Andrei Golovin told the newspaper.

“The place in the nearby hospital is over. There was no room in the morgue. Many relatives are now looking for family members, but we have not seen many people due to injuries. “

The UK newspaper said it had seen at least half a dozen civilian cars crashed under heavy fire – some of them soaked in blood and at least one with a large “child” inscription in Ukrainian.

Horrific scenes have forced many Western leaders to join Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who called the atrocities “genocide.”

However, Russia continues to deny attacks on civilians, saying the scenes were staged by Ukraine as propaganda to bolster resistance to the Kremlin’s bloody war.
