The first-ever Sunday morning MLB package includes 18 games – from 11:30 a.m. ET for the first six weeks, followed by a dozen noon ET games – at Peacock with sports preludes and NBC aftergames

NBC Sports continues the history of the baseball tradition – includes the first ever television game in 1939, 50 seasons with a game package of the week and 39 world series

STAMFORD, Cannes – April 6, 2022 – The peacock will be his exclusive home for the new Premier League Baseball Week game on Sunday morning, was announced today. Starting May 8, Peacock will host a live broadcast of NBC Sports ’baseball game for 18 consecutive weeks, with the start of the first six Sunday games at 11:30 a.m. ET and the next 12 Sunday games starting noon ET. Each game will include pre-game and post-game shows, created by NBC Sports, at Peacock.

The first game (Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Red Sox with Fenway Park on May 8 at 11:30 ET) will be broadcast simultaneously on NBC, and the remaining 17 games are available exclusively on the premium Peacock service (full schedule below). In addition, Peacock will be the exclusive home for the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game – featuring top-tier lower league prospects – which will play during All-Star Week in July at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

On each of the 18 Sundays that Peacock presents the game, it will be scheduled as exclusive MLB live action house until 1.30pm ET that daywhen the rest of the day schedule begins.

Peacock will also feature classic MLB games, award-winning documentaries from the MLB Film & Video Archive, and highlight packages available on request at the new MLB Center.

The first television broadcast of the Major League Baseball was the double-header broadcast of the Cincinnati Reds-Brooklyn Dodgers in 1939 on W2XBS (the predecessor of WNBC-TV) in New York City. NBC Sports was home to the first broadcast of the World Series in 1947, the first All-Star Game, which aired nationally in 1952, and broadcast 39 World Series – more than any other network. In addition, from 1957 to 2000, NBC Sports was home to a variety of baseball programs, including a televised game of the week and baseball on Monday night, more than 30 all-star games and countless moments after the season.
