Apple has expanded its program that allows customers to repair the Face ID system without replacing the entire device on the iPhone X, according to a memo seen MacRumors. Initially ‌iPhone‌ X was removed from the list for this program.


Apple launched the program last month, giving Apple stores and authorized repair centers access to parts for the TrueDepth camera system and allowing technicians to repair “Face ID” without replacing the entire phone. Initially, the program was only available for ‌iPhone‌ XS and later, but now it has been expanded to include ‌iPhone‌ X and thus all iPhones with ‌Face ID‌.
