The store will debut the first in the history of K-pop Apple Today at the Apple Remix session with the supergroup K-pop SEVENTEEN. The new session, which will be launched in other Apple stores across Asia, will cover the band’s single “Darl + ing”, which will soon be released, which will appear on the eve of their full-length album, which debuts in May. Participants will learn more about the band’s creative process and demonstrate a new track using the iPad and GarageBand.

A spacious two-level shop is located at the base of a brand new tower in the city center, occupying the entire width of the quarter and creating a grand facade to the street. Offering visitors a small haven from a noisy street, landscaped pocket gardens on either side of both corners of the store, and include sculptures created by Korean artists Jeho Lee and Wakki. The greenery flows into the space with shady groves of trees standing in the window. Apple Myeongdong also has the first installation of a double-height glass facade with horizontal support.
Once inside, customers can watch Apple’s latest products and services, including Apple TV +, following its recent launch in Korea. The new Apple Pickup special zone, the first of its kind in Asia, makes it even more convenient to pick up products ordered online. Visitors can move between floors by stairs, transparent through glass lifts, or through a stainless steel elevator.
On the second floor there is enough space to study and support from the store’s team of 220 people, which together speaks 11 languages and represents more than eight nationalities. Combining paper shades of incense of local origin, the boardroom offers an intimate setting where the store’s business team can offer advice and training to entrepreneurs, developers and other business clients. The forum with a large video wall in the center creates a gallery on a hill overlooking the city and serves as a home for Today at Apple sessions.
Apple has been operating in South Korea for more than 20 years, and the company’s constant investment and innovation supports hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country. Since the first opening of Apple Garosugil in 2018, Apple has welcomed millions of visitors to its stores and continues to provide opportunities for learning, creating and engaging. Apple opened its Apple Developer Academy with POSTECH in March this year, and earlier this week, apps were unveiled for Apple’s first-ever research and development accelerator.
Apple continues its strong commitment to customers in Korea by providing incredible experiences with products, software and services. With the launch of Apple TV + Apple introduced its first original series of Apple in Korean “Dr. Brain “, along with the new original series” Pachinko “, and earlier this year Apple collaborated with world-famous director Pak Chan Vuk on the film” Life is just a dream “on the iPhone.
The first visitors of the store are waiting for Saturday, April 9, at 10 am local time. Given the health and well-being of customers and team members Apple’s top priority, the store will implement comprehensive health measures, and a visit to Apple Myeongdong on the opening day will be by appointment only. Customers can visit apple.com/kr/myeongdong to choose the available time, and each non-transferable booking allows one person.
