The iPhone 14 Pro Max will have 20 percent smaller bezels around the display, according to recently released CAD visualizations.

CAD visualizations published by the Twitter account “ShrimpApplePro” demonstrate the design of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is generally consistent with other illustrations and dimensions with 91 Mobile and Max Weinbach. As in these previous images, the most notable changes include a centralized tablet and a True Depth front camera array in the shape of a hole instead of a notch and a larger rear camera protrusion, but the rest of the design is very similar to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro. Renders are accompanied by a number of specific measurements for different aspects of the device.

It is reported that the bezel of the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be 1.95 mm thick, which is moderately smaller compared to the 2.42 mm frame in the iPhone 13 Pro Max. One reason for the reduced rims may be more space between the top panel of the device and the top of the new tablet and cutouts for punching holes. With such reduced frames the top of the cutouts will be 2.29mm below the top of the display panel.

The extent to which the reduced frames will have a noticeable effect on the front of the device is questionable. Last year, users debated whether there was a difference between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 bezel sizes, but measurements made by Quinn Nelson suggest that the frames around the PhoneiPhone 13‌ are indeed slightly larger than the frames around the ‌iPhone 12‌, so it would be unheard of for Apple to slightly change the thickness of its panels even on devices that supposedly have the same display size.

However, the 20 percent reduction on the 14iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max is likely to be more noticeable than any change between the ‌iPhone 12‌ and ‌iPhone 13‌, but it should be noted that these measurements do not include a 1.15mm stainless steel thickness. which is around the display, which can make the changes look less drastic. The reduced bezels are probably also too small to resize the 6.7-inch screen sold by Apple, even if the actual display area is actually larger.
